Girls Too Women was founded in 2017 by Lynette Shaw White after overcoming a 17-year personal battle with bipolar disorder and manic depression. After being diagnosed, Lynette believed her life was over and felt she would never become successful. However, through her faith in God, commitment to healing, and seeking therapy, she found the strength to overcome darkness and rebuild her life with purpose. Lynette transformed her pain into power and her test into a testimony. Her journey inspired her to create Girls Too Women as a source of hope, guidance, and empowerment for girls and young women facing challenges in their own lives.
As a mentor, advocate, and community leader, Lynette Shaw White is passionate about empowering young women through guidance, education, encouragement, and real-life support. Her vision for Girls Too Women was created from a desire to provide safe spaces, positive mentorship, and opportunities for growth for the next generation of women. Her story is a testimony of strength, resilience, and purpose has now inspired many young girls and women that your circumstances does not define who you are. Most of all inspired many to believe that no matter what challenges they face, they can rise, heal, and succeed.
